

John Rowlett has successfully focused his practice on advising privately held businesses on a variety of corporate, commercial and other transactional matters. Mr. Rowlett counsels hedge funds and other financial institutions on the legal issues relating to the purchase and sale of U.S. and international distressed assets including distressed and par loans, other debt and equity securities and trade claims. He also advises banks and other lending institutions on secured lending matters. In addition, Mr. Rowlett provides guidance to private equity firms and other corporate clients on private equity investments, mergers and acquisitions, entity formation, commercial contracts and other general corporate and commercial law matters.
Prior to beginning his legal career in 1993, Mr. Rowlett worked in the banking industry at MBank Dallas, N.A. (now JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A.) and The Sanwa Bank, Ltd. (now The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd.).
